Faithful departed
Thanks to alert reader Reggie for forwarding this story. Apparently, there is going to be a memorial service on Tuesday for some deceased police dogs. The public has been invited to join in remembering these dogs. I personally will not be attending because it would be difficult to make travel arrangements, and also because I think it is a stupid waste of time to have a dog memorial service.

wow...pretty cheeky there Georgeous...don't you know all dogs go to Heaven...gosh... :o]
Don't be so sure that all of these dogs went to heaven. Note that "Holmes" died of kidney failure, which can be brought on by excessive consumption of alcohol.
I completely agree, George. Statistics show that (mostly urban) police dogs are more likely to be involved in shady dealing, ranging from prostitution to taking kickbacks from drug dealers. And like you said, many turn to alcohol, which in turns leads to problems at home including spousal abuse and liver cancer.
